It was during our trip to the Rann Utsav (organised annually from December 15-March 15 by the Gujarat Tourism department) that we were first introduced to an amazing dance form called Kerwanu Vesh.

Twirling to the beats of traditional music by local artists, Bharat bhai, one of the only two artists in the country who practises this dance form (the other is his older brother), transforms pieces of cloth, including a saree into 3D shapes.

In the two performances we were fortunate to witness, he created a rabbit, a pigeon and a peacock, all from single pieces of cloth, each completely free of knots of any kind!
