We invite you to participate in the Myoko festival, an ancient festival celebrated by the Apatani Tribe in Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh.
Myoko festival symbolizes prosperity, purification, and community bonding. It brings Apatanis from across India to their tiny home in the Ziro valley to celebrate together.
Experience traditional rituals, indigenous games, re-bonding between family, friendship over food and drinks and age-old customs, making it one of the most immersive cultural experiences in Arunachal Pradesh!
Arunachal Pradesh is the largest State in the North Eastern part of India and is also home to immense diversity. While there are 26 recognised tribes and many sub tribes, the reality is that there are many more – each with their own language, culture and cuisine. Only 2 tribes amongst the Arunachali tribes are trying to get a written script.
This diversity is what you will experience on this trip.
Meeting with the locals, eating at their homes and participating in the cultural extravaganza of a festival where all the members of the tribe gather in their traditional finery are truly priceless experiences!
This trip is ideal for Senior Citizens, Solo Travellers (Female & Male), Photographers, Culinary Enthusiasts, Anthropology Scholars, Expats, Nature lovers and those interested in uncovering an unknown and revelatory part of India!
