Travelling to Hampi is usually thought to include a lot of climbing and walking. After arriving at Hampi, you will check into the resort, have a scrumptious lunch and a relaxed afternoon. You will then head out to catch your first glimpse of all that Hampi has to offer, before returning for a leisurely evening followed by dinner at the resort.

Kerala Food

The second day will begin fairly early after breakfast, with a visit to the ruins of the Vijayanagar Empire in Hampi. With 500 ancient monuments and temples, this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and will mesmerise you with its history and character. Hampi is also home to numerous temples like the Hazara Rama temple, the Krishna temple, the Lakshmi Narsimha temple, Sasivekalu temple, just to name a few. You will visit these as well before returning to the resort for lunch and siesta. Albeit there being nothing much to see or do there, you may avail the car to visit Hospet. Or you may choose to relax in the evening.

After a restful night at the resort, you may visit the Virupaksa temple early the next morning. Built by
Pruda Deva Raya, this temple is for Lord Shiva, and remains intact, and the only active temple in
Hampi today. After this, you will head back to the resort for breakfast and a day of seeing more sites
that Hampi has to offer. The bustling Hampi bazaar, the Lotus Palace, the ancient canals and
aqueducts, are all fascinating and tell the tale of the glorious Vijayanagar Empire. You will visit them,
with a break for lunch and rest at the resort in between.

Kerala famous for Houseboat

On your last day of touring Hampi, those who wish to, may visit Kishkinda, to see the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. This requires climbing 575 steps, and it is recommended that you leave the resort at least by 4:45 am. This visit is optional, and guests may choose to stay back to breakfast and get ready for the final day of sightseeing. First on the list is a splendid Vishu (Vithala) temple. Built in the Dravidian style, the Vijaya Vithala temple is the grandest and most beautiful of all the temples in Hampi. The ruins still paint a fascinating picture of the splendour and grandeur of the temple in its heyday. The musical pillars, the numerous shrines and halls, intricately carved pillars, the massive stone chariot, all make this temple complex a stunning sight to behold. One can spend hours here soaking in the marvel of its architecture.

After a lunch and siesta break, you will return to see the many more historic sites the city of ruins
boasts of.

You will end the day with another restful evening at the resort, and bid adieu the following day after
breakfast, to this gorgeous city with its rustic ruins and outstanding past located by the Tungabhadra
River.
