Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib
The Valley of Flowers is an Indian national park located in north Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The hike to the park from base village Ghangharia is about 4 kms and is a steep hike with a narrow path. A good level of fitness is a pre-requisite for hikers.
Hemkund Sahib is the world’s highest Gurudwara, located at 4400 metres above sea level. It is a 6 km hike from Ghangharia.

ITINERARY
Day 01: Dehradun to Auli (1,920 m) – 9 hrs drive. Stay overnight
Day 02: Auli to Govindghat (1,920 m) drive; Trek to Ghangaria (2950 m) – 1 hr drive + 13 km trek in 5-6 hrs
Day 03: Ghangaria (2,800 m) to Valley of Flowers (3,510 m) back to Ghangaria – 4 km one way; 4-5 hrs trek
Day 04: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back to Ghangaria – 6 km one way; 5-6 hrs trek
Day 05: Ghangaria to Govindghat – 11 km trek (mostly downhill); Drive to Badrinath and Mana village. Overnight in Karanprayag
Day 06: Karanprayag to Dehradun – 7-8 hrs drive
