Anini is surrounded by multiple Himalayan ranges. Early morning hikes reward you with golden sunrises over snow-tipped peaks. The pine-and-fir forests here are teeming with exotic flora, and if you’re lucky, you might spot wildlife such as musk deer or red pandas peeking through the undergrowth.
A UNESCO biosphere, this sanctuary is a wildlife lover’s dream. Home to Himalayan tigers, Mishmi takin, and even glimpses of the elusive red panda, it’s one of India’s richest biodiversity hotspots. Guided jeep safaris or short treks into the buffer zones let you witness these species in their natural habitat.
Crystal-clear streams weave through the valley, culminating in breathtaking waterfalls. Cool off with a splash at spots like Dri-Dang waterfall, or enjoy a riverside picnic beside the Dibang River’s turquoise waters.
The road distance is approximately 260 km, taking around 8–9 hours by shared taxi or private vehicle. En route, you pass through Roing, Miao, and the scenic banks of the Dibang River.
