Pasighat, located in Arunachal Pradesh, is the headquarters of East Siang district. Situated at the eastern foothills of the Himalayas, Pasighat is Arunachal’s oldest town and is called Abor Land. The river Siang, that originates in Tibet, flows through this region, offering some spectacular and unknown opportunities for rive rafting. The region is inhabited by members of the Adi tribe, the second largest tribe in the State.

Day 1: Arrive at Pasighat airportOur Services Begin
– Meet & Greet at the airport upon arrival and transfer to Aborcountry River camp (ACRC). Welcome drink upon arrival and check in.
– Walk down to the beach for sundowner.
– Evening by the fire with drinks. Briefing by your tour escort followed by Dinner.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 2: Oyan Trip– Morning after breakfast set to drive to visit Donyi Polo Tea Estate. Walk through the garden; tour will be given by resident manager followed by Tea tasting and craft village village. Have lunch with the planter.
– Late afternoon back to ACRC enroute visit district museum and local market.

Day 3: Ponging/Silluk Village– Morning after breakfast and head to Ponging* village of Adi tribe. Bird watching on the way. Have a traditional welcome followed by lunch.
*Should guests not want to hike at all, we’ll organise the village visit at Silluk, the cleanest village in this area.
(Adi Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh: Adi meaning hill people is collective group of subtribes together called as The ADI tribe. This is the second largest tribe of Arunachal Pradesh and inhabit Upper Siang, Siang, Lower Siang, East Siang and part of West Siang, Lower Dibang valley, Lohit and Namsai district of the state. They speak the same dialect with variation in phonetic pronunciation claiming a common origin belonging to Abotani group of tribes. They perform and celebrate same rituals and festivals.)
– Late afternoon back to ACRC. Evening at leisure.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 4: River Rafting– Morning have sumptuous breakfast and drive out for picnic by the Siang. Enroute visit Donyi Polo Ganging (Animist temple) at Renging village. Get down at Siang river beach near Rottung and get on the raft down the river. Will have packed picnic lunch. Will be taking on grade 3 rapid near Ponging village.
– Late afternoon arrive at ACRC Siang beach and walk upto camp. Retire for the day.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 5: Departure Day– After early breakfast, get dropped off at the airport for onward flight.

Located on the banks of the might Siang, the Aborcountry River Camp is a perfect retreat from urban humdrum. Here you wake up to the birds chirping and can spend the entire day listening to the roaring river sounds of the might Siang river gushing right below.
Set amidst dense tropical greenery with a view of the Siang flowing behind, ACRC is a beautiful eco lodge built passionately with sustainability at its core. While water supply is from a natural fresh water spring, electricity is from solar power and all rooms have been built with materials that are eco friendly. The use of non sustainable materials and resources is curtailed to a minimum.
The dwelling is perfect to get away, switch off the phone, internet and humdrum of life.
Though the management tries very hard to ensure that every aspect of hospitality is offered to the guest, it is requested that guests do not expect hotel like amenities here.
