Pasighat, located in Arunachal Pradesh, is the headquarters of East Siang district. Situated at the eastern foothills of the Himalayas, Pasighat is Arunachal’s oldest town and is called Abor Land. The river Siang, that originates in Tibet, flows through this region, offering some spectacular and unknown opportunities for rive rafting. The region is inhabited by members of the Adi tribe, the second largest tribe in the State.
This itinerary has been designed to help travellers explore an unknown part of India and offer the best in the region.
This trip is ideal for families seeking quiet time away with each other in a pristine environment and friends seeking to get away. This itinerary can be customised for Senior Citizens by removing the adventure activities and removing a day as well.

TRAVEL PLAN
Day 1: Arrive at Pasighat airportOur Services Begin
– Meet & Greet at the airport upon arrival and transfer to Aborcountry River camp (ACRC). Welcome drink upon arrival and check in.
– Walk down to the beach for sundowner.
– Evening by the fire with drinks. Briefing by your tour escort followed by Dinner.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 2: Oyan Trip– Morning after breakfast set to drive to visit Donyi Polo Tea Estate. Walk through the garden; tour will be given by resident manager followed by Tea tasting and craft village village. Have lunch with the planter.
– Late afternoon back to ACRC enroute visit district museum and local market.
(About Donyi Polo Tea Estate: Established in 1985, Donyi Polo Tea Estate is situated at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh in Oyan craft village. Founded by a young Women Entrepreneur to bring back the Tea Home. Donyi Polo Tea Garden is proud to be regarded as a leader in a non-traditional Tea growing are in India.
Donyi Polo Tea Estate has been successfully planted scientifically and professionally with selected local varieties, hill varieties apart from chinery vars, Assamica vars and cambod vars. It’s pristine location and climatic factors contribute exotic appeal to quality cup. The estate also has been successful in making various types of tea like CTC, Orthodox Black Tea, Yellow Tea, White Tea, Golden Tea Sliver Tea, Oolong Tea and Hand crafted specialty Tea.

– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 3: Ponging/Silluk Village– Morning after breakfast and head to Ponging* village of Adi tribe. Bird watching on the way. Have a traditional welcome followed by lunch.
*Should guests not want to hike at all, we’ll organise the village visit at Silluk, the cleanest village in this area.
(Adi Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh: Adi meaning hill people is collective group of subtribes together called as The ADI tribe. This is the second largest tribe of Arunachal Pradesh and inhabit Upper Siang, Siang, Lower Siang, East Siang and part of West Siang, Lower Dibang valley, Lohit and Namsai district of the state. They speak the same dialect with variation in phonetic pronunciation claiming a common origin belonging to Abotani group of tribes. They perform and celebrate same rituals and festivals.)
– Late afternoon back to ACRC. Evening at leisure.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 4: River Rafting– Morning have sumptuous breakfast and drive out for picnic by the Siang. Enroute visit Donyi Polo Ganging (Animist temple) at Renging village. Get down at Siang river beach near Rottung and get on the raft down the river. Will have packed picnic lunch. Will be taking on grade 3 rapid near Ponging village.
– Late afternoon arrive at ACRC Siang beach and walk upto camp. Retire for the day.
– Overnight at ACRC.
Day 5: Departure Day– After early breakfast, get dropped off at the airport for onward flight.

- The rooms at ACRC are quite basic but have all amenities such as kettles, blankets and geysers in the bathrooms. They do not have room service or laundry facility. Rooms do not have TVs, intercom or fire place. More about the dwelling is detailed below
- A large group can also have a Gala Dinner with a singer on the last night. This will cost an additional Rs. 45,000/- for the musician, speakers etc. and Rs. 2000 per person for snacks. 5% GST extra would be applicable on this
- If a large group wishes to hire the services of a Tour Escort from Ease India Travel, the additional cost would be Rs. 35,000/- (5% GST Extra)

Located on the banks of the might Siang, the Aborcountry River Camp is a perfect retreat from urban humdrum. Here you wake up to the birds chirping and can spend the entire day listening to the roaring river sounds of the might Siang river gushing right below.
Set amidst dense tropical greenery with a view of the Siang flowing behind, ACRC is a beautiful eco lodge built passionately with sustainability at its core. While water supply is from a natural fresh water spring, electricity is from solar power and all rooms have been built with materials that are eco friendly. The use of non sustainable materials and resources is curtailed to a minimum.
The dwelling is perfect to get away, switch off the phone, internet and humdrum of life.
Though the management tries very hard to ensure that every aspect of hospitality is offered to the guest, it is requested that guests do not expect hotel like amenities here.
