The Heritage Trail, Hampi
This trip has been planned to see the splendid City of Ruins, Hampi, over a period of 4 days. The hike to the birthplace of Lord Hanuman has also been included.
The weather in Hampi tends to be hot during the day which is worsened by the topography. The trip therefore, has made provision for quiet afternoons when the guests can relax in their rooms and avoid the afternoon heat.
The cost for this holiday has been calculated based on a group of 4. Should you require a cost for a larger group, a family with children or for couples, please let us know and we will be happy to rework the same.

TRAVEL PLAN
Day 1:
– Arrival at Hampi. Guests should reach latest by 1:00 PM.
Our Services Begin
– Check into resort around 1:30 PM. Have lunch and relax.
– Our guide and driver will pick you up for the first evening of sightseeing at about 3:30 PM.
– Return to resort after. Evening at leisure.
– Dinner in-house. Overnight at Heritage Resort.
Day 2:
– An early start, we will wrap up breakfast by 8:00 AM and set out to go to the Ruins. Today we will cover the sites in the main Hampi town, including the Krishna temple, Lakshmi Narasimha Temple and more.
– Come back to resort for lunch, followed by a siesta.
– The guide will return in the evening to take you sightseeing again.
– Evening free to relax. The car will be available should you wish to go to Hospet (although there isn’t much to see or do in this town).
– Dinner in-house and overnight at the resort.
Day 3:
– Guests have the option of visiting Virupaksha Temple (the only active temple in Hampi) before breakfast. Return to resort have breakfast and freshen up for the day.
– Step out at about 10:30 AM to cover the rest of the sites.
– Back to resort for lunch and to relax for 2 hours (since afternoons tend to be hot in Hampi and the sites are all in the open).
– Evening – explore more sites and see the sunset.
– Dinner in-house and overnight at the resort.
Day 4:
– Interested guests can climb up 575 steps to see Lord Hanuman’s birthplace. Best to leave resort by 4:45 AM. Kishkindha is located about 20 minutes away from the resort.
– Return and freshen up.
– Alternately, guests who do not wish to climb up can be ready by 8:00 AM after breakfast.
– Today we will visit the famous Vijaya Vitthala Temple complex. After this, we will go back to the main ruins site and see more sites.
– Lunch in-house after which guests can rest in the afternoon.
– We’ll cover more of the remaining sites in the evening.
– Dinner in-house and overnight at the resort.
Day 5:
– Departure day. After breakfast, guests will check out and leave by 11:00 AM.

1. The Hampi City of ruins is spread over an area of 26 sq kms and it is virtually impossible to cover the whole region in 2-3 days. This trip will endeavour to cover some of the most important ones and some of the unknown ones as well
2. Should the group decide to dine at one of the local restaurants or cafes one evening, where ‘live’ music is commonly played, we will be happy to accommodate the same. But this decision has to be taken before the trip is finalised so we can deduct the costs of those meals
3. If guests are driving to Hampi in their own vehicles, it is still recommended to use the local taxi to avoid parking hassles
4. The car and driver in Hampi will be available for 10 hours every day. Any additional hours will be payable directly to the driver
5. Operation of Swimming pool and other amenities are subject to Covid rules
6. For your safety, all our guides and drivers are vaccinated
1. By Air – Nearest airport is Hubbali. Hospet where we will be staying is a 5 hour drive from Hubbali
2. By Road – Hospet is a 10 hour drive from Pune and about 13 hours from Mumbai. It is best to break journey at one of the highway hotels in Hubbali. We recommend The President Hotel
