Like myself, I know that many are chanting ‘Winter Is Coming’ because of the upcoming ‘Game Of Thrones’ series finale, but let’s be realistic and chant ‘Summer Is Here’ ‘cause the sun’s shining and everything is dry. Here in India the heat’s found new heights, here in the tropics things are bound to get hotter, with the average temperatures already rising above 98 degrees Fahrenheit.

I don’t know about the rest of the world, but as far as India is concerned, summer-break is about to follow soon. School-going kids and college/university students alike are probably going through their annual exams, and yearning for the holidays to begin. Shortly enough all the educational institutions will be closing their doors to let the students beat the heat and unwind.

The hunt for getaways and holiday destinations will surely overpower any searches on Google, I think!

The school kids will take form to badger their parental units, demanding for a change of scene that’s far, fun and maybe even fancy. University/College grads and undergrads will be ganging in groups to plan out their holiday excursions.

And why shouldn’t they, it’s definitely due and well deserved.

A natural order of things brings people from the mountains to the beaches during the winter, so it’s only obvious that the pattern is reciprocated during the summer.

Well here I am, going to offer up a few suggestions of the places that you should probably visit to cool off. Be it a week or two, or perhaps even an entire month, these destinations are amazing.

Arunachal Pradesh

Seeking to step into a world of extraordinary beauty and discover experiences found nowhere else on earth, Arunachal Pradesh is the place for you.

Exploring Arunachal’s magnificent landscape and coastline tops the list for many. If adventure is your game, there’s a long list of thrilling activities to get your blood racing. Or if it’s a relaxing holiday you’re after, hot pools, vineyards and cultural attractions will keep you entertained.

Sikkim

A land of panoramic perfection: of snow-capped Himalayas, the stimulating scent of flower decked meadows, vibrant culture and joyous festivals. Home to the 3rd highest mountain in the world and an infinite variety of flora and fauna; this is Sikkim.

Himachal Pradesh

Called Dev Bhoomi, or the Abode of the Gods, Himachal offers experiences ranging from hiking, trekking, paragliding and sightseeing. The land where scores of Tibetans settled, their monasteries and culture are a treat too.

Sojourn to the Kangra Valley, nestled in the lap of the Western Himalayas. Embark on a journey of sights, sounds and smells like you’ve never seen before. Get comfy at the 4Rooms Hotel, your rendezvous for the duration of the entire experience.

Apart from those Indian states, if you’re up to it, then the Kingdom of Bhutan is a surreal experience to be had.

Kingdom Of Bhutan

The Himalayan country that measures its prosperity in Gross National Happiness instead of Gross Domestic Product, offers! Its mighty fortresses, temples and monasteries, replete with ancient murals, paintings and fables will leave you asking for more! The smile of satisfaction on each face will make you want to go back again and again! Happiness Is A Place and it is best explored with us!
