Bumdra – A Trek to the Monastery (Cave of a Thousand Prayers)

Bhutan is a paradise for hikers and climbers and offers many trekking opportunities. One such trek is the Bumdra.
An overnight trek, this one starts from Paro and ends at Paro.

The Trek

The trek starts at Sang Choekor Buddhist college and climbs to Chhoe Tse Lhakang temple about 2 hours away. You’ll cross meadows and forests during this moderate hike.

Overnight at luxury camping site for hikers.

The following morning, hikers will come down from Tiger’s Nest by noon. Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang is Bhutan’s most iconic monastery.

The Trek
