Travel Plan

Dates: 6th-14th November 2018

Day 01

Arrival at Paro Transfer to Thimphu. Travel Time – 1.5 hours.
Check into hotel
Local sightseeing (Memorial Chorten, Buddha Statue, Thimphu Dzong, Takin Reserve, National Museum of Textiles)

Day 02

Mild hike to a monastery near Thimphu
Personalised postal stamps at Thimphu Post Office, and evening free for rest and shopping

Day 03

Early breakfast & leave for Punakha Travel time – 2 hours (Local sightseeing – Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong & Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge)

Day 04

Khamsum Yullay Chorten hike in Punakha (Climb will take 1.5 hours up)
You may do river rafting (at extra cost)l

Day 05

Early departure to Gangtey. Travel Time is 3.5 hours
Arrive at Gangtey and see monastery. Check into Hotel

Day 06

Attend Gangtey Festival and head back to Punakha

Day 07

Early breakfast & leave Punakha for Paro. Travel time – 2 hours
Local sightseeing at Paro (Paro Dzong, Dungtse Lhakhang, Kichyu Monastery)

Day 08

Early breakfast and begin climb to Tiger’s Nest/Taktsang (Climb will take about 2.5 – 3 hours)
