Kerala Temple Tour

Not many people know that Kerala is home to some of the most ancient Hindu Temples in India, some that date back to the 4th century.

We take you on an 8 day tour across Kerala - from Guruvayoor Temple in the North to the Padmanabhaswamy Temple (India's richest temple) in the South, in an relaxed itinerary that will also give you the chance to explore Kerala's cities - Alleppey, Kochi, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and even Varkala.

Travel Plan

Day 01

Arrival at Kochi International Airport. Overnight at Guruvayoor

Day 02

Start with Guruvayoor Temple and proceed to Kodungallur Bhagvathy Temple.
Overnight at Ernakulam

Day 03

Transfer to Chottanikkara – see Bhagvathy Temple & Vishnu Temple.
If possible see Vaikom Mahadeva Temple.
Overnight at Kottayam

Day 04

Ettumanoor Temple in the morning and transfer to Alleppey. Then see Chakkalathu Temple in the evening.
Overnight at Kottayam

Day 05

KaviyoorMahadeva Temple in the morning and transfer to Malayalapuzha to see Malayalapuzha Bhavathy Temple.
This is a day trip, so we come back to Alleppey.
On the way we stop to see Mannarsala Nagaraja Temple.
Overnight at Alleppey

Day 06

Morning – Amabalapuzha Sri Krishna Temple & Haripad Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Haripad in the evening.
Head to Thiruvananthapuram.
If there is time, we stop at Attingal Temple as well.
Overnight at Thiruvananthapuram

Day 07

Morning – Amabalapuzha Sri Krishna Temple & Haripad Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Haripad in the evening.
Head to Thiruvananthapuram.
If there is time, we stop at Attingal Temple as well.
Overnight at Thiruvananthapuram

Day 08

Transfer from Varkala to Kochi International Airport (Departure day)

Liability for charges in the itinerary due to reason beyond our control like change in the flight and train schedule, cancellation of flights / trains, political distributions, natural phenomenon, etc.
Any other item not mentioned as “included”

Caveats:

Most temples in Kerala are open only to Hindus
Men and women have to be dressed in traditional Indian clothes while entering (kurtis with jeans will also be okay)
Leather belts and wallets are not allowed inside some temples
Most evenings will be free to roam the towns. Our vehicle will drop and pick up guests from a designated spot
We need 50% payment for the package in advance to book the slot and 50%, one week prior to departure. Cancellation rules apply
