If our Blissful Bhutan package seems a bit on the expensive side for you fellow travelers, fret not! This edition of our Bhutan trip is meant for the backpackers, for the budget travelers, and everyone in between. Take part in this 1-week adventure in the land of happiness with EIT and explore the vast mountains, the royal monasteries and so much more!

The plan

Day 01:

Arrival at Phuentsholing. Transfer to Thimphu. Travel Time – 6.5 – 7 hours.
Check into hotel

Day 02:

Local sightseeing after breakfast (Memorial Chorten, Buddha Statue, Thimphu Dzong, Takin Reserve,
National Museum of Textiles)
Evening sightseeing (Changankha Lhakhang and sightseeing left over from previous day) and shopping etc.

Day 03:

Mild hike to a monastery near Thimphu
Personalised postal stamps at Thimphu Post Office, and evening free for rest and shopping

Day 04:

Check out of hotel after early breakfast & leave for Punakha district. Travel time – 2 hours.
All sightseeing in Punakha via Dochu La Pass (Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong & iron suspension bridge)
Evening free for rest after a hectic day

Day 05:

Early breakfast & leave for Paro Travel time – 3 hours
Local sightseeing at Paro (Paro Dzong, Dungtse Lhakhang, Kichyu Monastery)
Evening free for rest

Day 06:

Early breakfast and begin climb to Tiger’s Nest/Taktsang. Climb will take about 2.5 – 3 hours.
Evening visit National Museum and thereafter go shopping/exploration in Paro town

Day 07:

Departure from Paro after breakfast

The cost

The cost for this trip is INR 38,000/- per head.

Cost for foreigners:

1. Dollar paying tourist 1 pax – $2030/head- including 40 USD, per day, solo traveler surcharge – excluding USD 40 one time visa.
2. Dollar paying tourist group of 2- $1960/head– including 30 USD, per day, double traveler surcharge – excluding USD 40 one time visa.
3. Dollar paying tourist group of 3 and above- $1750/head – excluding USD 40 one time visa.

What’s included:

1. All stay in one comfortable double room in 2-star properties
2. All internal transport by comfortable vehicle from pick up from Phuentsholing to drop off on day 7 at Phuentsholing
3. Breakfast in designated restaurants
4. All sightseeing as mentioned
5. English speaking Guide on all days

What isn’t

1. Tickets to and from Bhutan
2. Lunch and dinner, beverages, snacks etc.
3. Shopping, laundry expenses of a personal nature etc.
4. Entry fees to monuments, monasteries etc.
5. Tips* to guide, driver etc.

*It is expected that the guide and driver & trek staff will receive a tip from the guest at the end of their trip based purely on the services offered and the guests’ satisfaction.
